The Rotary Club of North York has vaccinated 8,560 children against polio with our speaker "Thank You" gifts since 2003.
Member Gerry Francis gave a presentation to RCNY in September of 2020 based on research he compiled on the racial strife we witnessed earlier that year. His talk entitled Black Lives Matter supported by visual aids is a cursory review of race history in North America from slavery to the present day. This address was well received and resulted in presentations to 2 other non-rotarian groups. Additionally, in the near future, he will speak to The Rotary Club of Willowdale (Jan. 21st at 12:30 pm) and Rotary Club of Toronto Skyline (Feb. 2nd at 7 pm). Contact these clubs if you'd like to join their meetings for Gerry's presentation.
Weekend of Feb. 5th-7th
During the Covid-19 pandemic our fundraising activities are limited. Since September and our first Bottle Drive and Bake Sale we have raised over $1,300. You can help us by saving your bottles and cans and for our next drive during the weekend of February 5th-7th, 2021, 41 Gwendolen Ave. Yonge & 401. Bottles and cans can be left in front of the garage if we are not outside. Thank you in advance for your support.
